A FICO score takes into consideration all these factors, not just one or two. No one piece of
information or factor alone will determine a FICO score.
The importance of any factor depends on the overall information in the consumer’s credit profile.
For some people, a given factor may be more important than for someone else with a different
credit history. In addition, as the information in a credit profile changes, so does the importance
of any factor in determining a FICO score. Therefore, it’s impossible to measure the exact
impact of a single factor without looking at the entire report. Even the levels of importance
shown in the diagram are for the general population, and will be different for different credit
profiles.
