                                HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

GRADE                   :       C

REPORTING TO            :       Divisional Human Resources Manager

PUTPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of this job is to provide administrative support to the Divisional HR Manager and HR
team including managing personal files, payroll liaison, arranging interviews as well as general
office duties for the effective functioning of the HR Department.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Management of contracts of employment
 Conduct Induction
 Management of Employee records
 Manage HR audits
 Manage employee benefits (M/A, RF, Ill Health)
 HR Administration i.t.o. engagements, updates, disabilities, terminations)
 Preparation of input for payroll
 Provide advice on policy
 Prepare HR reports


REQUIREMENTS
 Have Matric
 A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management will be an added
   advantage
 Have 1-3 year HR administration experience
 Have sound knowledge of labour laws
 Have an understanding of industry knowledge on employee benefits
 Knowledge of VIP will be an added advantage
 Be detail and deadline oriented
 Show initiative
 Have good administrative skills
 Be computer literate on MS Office package
 Be able to problem solve
 Have analytical and numerical skills
 Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
