Cracked and Chipped Windshields
What starts out as a minor chip or crack can quickly
change with temperature and road vibration into a crack
obscuring your view and even a blown out windshield
If your windshield has a minor chip, get it fixed before it
becomes a safety issue and the entire windshield has to
be replaced.
Contact Fleet at 1-800-328-6363, select the glass
prompt and they will schedule a repair or replacement on
site (home, etc.)

Replacing Worn Tires
Tire Inspection
Visually inspect tires to determine if they need replacement
   – Contact Fleet to identify the local installer
   – Installer inspect the tires to see if they have 3/32” or less of tread
     life
   – If less than 3/32” or there is another potential safety issue, tires will
     be replaced
Most tires have built-in indicator bars in their grooves (see picture)
   – When flush with the surrounding tire tread, it has worn down to 3/32”
     of an inch
Tire Maintenance
Proper tire pressure,
   – The guidelines from GM or Ford will help
tires last longer and also save on fuel costs.
Rotating tires every 5,000 to 8,000 miles adds
to the life of a tire by allowing tire tread to
wear evenly.

Snow Tires
Ordering Snow Tires:
Technician is required to keep the summer tires for re-
installation in Spring
Each technician MUST have their managers approval
before contacting Fleet to order snow tires.
Verification that tech has not purchased snow tires in the
past 12 months will occur
Fleet is notified and a pre-approval message is added to
the vehicle file
Once all of the above is complete, the tech calls fleet to
verify approval, where to take the van and schedule an
appointment.
