Contact Fleet at 1-800-328-6363, select the glass prompt and they will schedule a repair or replacement on site (home, etc.) SF PowerPoint Template 03-27-08/8 Replacing Worn Tires Tire Inspection Visually inspect tires to determine if they need replacement – Contact Fleet to identify the local installer – Installer inspect the tires to see if they have 3/32” or less of tread life – If less than 3/32” or there is another potential safety issue, tires will be replaced Most tires have built-in indicator bars in their grooves (see picture) – When flush with the surrounding tire tread, it has worn down to 3/32” of an inch Tire Maintenance Proper tire pressure, – The guidelines from GM or Ford will help tires last longer and also save on fuel costs. Rotating tires every 5,000 to 8,000 miles adds to the life of a tire by allowing tire tread to wear evenly. Verification that tech has not purchased snow tires in the past 12 months will occur Fleet is notified and a pre-approval message is added to the vehicle file Once all of the above is complete, the tech calls fleet to verify approval, where to take the van and schedule an appointment.
