FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Amazigg Offers the Ability to “Digg” into the Most Popular Products on Amazon
Amazigg.com is a brand new website that assists people to discover popular products on Amazon.
May 18, 2011 – Amazigg (http://www.amazigg.com) is a tech startup that brings together two of the
most popular internet services: Digg and Amazon. The goal of the site is to show users Amazon
products that have been submitted to Digg. The system makes it simple to find products that are most
popular, cheapest, or downright quirky.
On a daily basis, Amazigg scans Digg for new Amazon products that have been submitted by users.
From there, data from Digg is combined with Amazon pricing, images, and descriptions, giving users
useful information.
The more Digg counts a product has the more interest it is receiving from the community.
Launched in April 2011, the mashup service is growing fast, now listing more than 2,200 products,
with an “All-Time Top Product” list that features several products with 3,000 Diggs or more.
Spam is often times an issue with sites such as Digg, but Amazigg has a system in place for avoiding
this issue. Only products with two or more Diggs are listed – this helps to eliminate spammy
submissions.
The masterminds behind Amazigg make it simple to understand why the website, created in April, has
achieved so much early success. “Amazigg lists products from Amazon, submitted to Digg, along with
their Digg counts, and allows us to reveal the most popular, weird or trendy ones.” They added, “This
is a service that makes it exciting to search for the hottest, and sometimes silliest, products, like
«Uranium Ore» or «Bacon Flavored Jelly Beans».”
In today’s world, a large selection from a variety of stores makes it difficult for consumers to decide
where and how to spend their money. Amazigg solves this problem by listing popular products selected
by real people.
About Amazigg:

products from the Amazon store, submitted to Digg, which allows users to find the most popular,
trendy, or crazy ones.
