ORDER:
       Rule 6 of the Andhra Pradesh School Educational Subordinate Service Rules,
2005 lays down that no person shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to
any post in the service unless he / she is more than 18 years of age and less than 33 years
of age as on the first day of the July of the year in which the notification for recruitment
is made.
       2. Rule 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Direct Recruitment to the posts of Teachers
(Scheme of Selection) Rules, 2006 lays down that the applicant must have completed the
minimum age of 18 years and must not have completed the maximum age of 33 years as
on 1.7.2006.
       3. In the letter 3rd read above, the Director of School Education has stated that
Government in G.O.Ms.No. 44 ,Education dated 16.5.2006 have issued orders for issuing
of notification for recruitment of teachers for DSC. 2006 in Government / MPP/ Zilla
Parishad schools and certain unemployed candidates have represented for enhancement
of maximum age limit from 33 years to 36 years .He has therefore requested to issue
necessary orders in the matter.
       4. Government have examined the matter and consider that the request of
unemployed candidates who are aspiring to become teachers is genuine as no DSC was
conducted after 2003. Government have therefore, decided to enhance the age limit to 36
years in respect of DSC 2006 recruitment.
       5. The following notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.
                                    NOTIFICATION
       In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Andhra Pradesh School
Education Teachers and other Employees ( Abolition of existing Service Cadres and
Regulation of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) 2005 ( Andhra Pradesh Act 27 of
2005) the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following Adhoc Rule.
                                    ADHOC RULE
       Notwithstanding anything contained in the Andhra Pradesh School Educational
Subordinate Service Rules, 2005 or in the Andhra Pradesh Direct recruitment to the
posts of Teachers ( Scheme of Selection ) Rules, 2006. The          maximum age limit
prescribed in the said rules for appointment by direct recruitment to the posts in the
Andhra Pradesh School Educational Subordinate Service shall be raised from 33 years to
36 years in respect of direct recruitment to the posts to be notified by the Commissioner
and Director of School Education in the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment
of 2006
