Family Information
The dam of BREAKOUT was sold as a heifer through one of the Regancrest Sales to the Palmer Family on the south side of
Waukon. Palmer’s were looking for an animal they could show and maybe sell bulls from. Frank Regan recommended they
look at buying Durham Bliss. They followed Frank’s advice and as you could say “the rest is history.” Durham Bliss has
opened many doors for the Palmers as she was a nominated Jr. All-American, plus she has sold bulls and embryos worldwide. I
remember seeing BREAKOUT as a calf on the farm…he was one of the best typed individual calves I have ever brought to
ABS. As you can see above he is backed by a deep deep pedigree…his MGD, Juror Brina was one of Juror’s best, plus she is
the full sister to the popular bull Juror Bond that was marketed by CRI. Outside was one of the best matings on Bliss as it
resulted in 1 EX and 2 VG daughters. Additionally, Bliss has 1 EX, 10 VG and 5 GP daughters. The Durham mating worked
quite well on Juror Brina as Bliss has 3 EX and 3 VG full sisters. Lastly, Bliss is the dam of the high type Blitz son at Select
called Blade.
Daughter Information
As you would expect, BREAKOUT daughters are tall cows with a large frame, plenty of width and body depth, yet they do have
a balance of dairyness. Udders are very snuggly attached in both the fore and rear attachments with a deep cleft and ideal teat
placement.
Mating Information
Feet and legs are not BREAKOUT’S specialty, so use him on daughters of James, Stormatic, Talent, BOLIVER, and TABOO
for best results.
