A few words about ATLAS
Atlas is a learner-centric Student Information System co-developed by Fresno Unified and Microsoft
Corporation. It is designed to support district goals and provides monitoring and teaching tools in areas
of behavior, grading, diagnostic assessment, and more. Important to you will be the ability to view and
manage attendance, enroll students and easily access student information. Below is a concept graphic
that demonstrates the foundation of student learning that has driven the design of ATLAS.

The Teacher portal can be accessed at atlas.fresnounfied.org/teacher.

The Students section has two other views to choose from – Roster, which provides a standard
list of students without the photos, and Seating chart, which provides the means to arrange
student tiles just as they sit in the classroom.

version. The recommended ones are Internet Explorer 8, Safari 3.5 and above, and Firefox 3.5 and
above.
Silverlight
The Gradebook module requires that your computer has the latest version of Silverlight installed. On
Windows computers, a message is usually displayed the first time you open the gradebook and if you
are able to install software, you can follow the instructions to install it yourself from the Microsoft
website.

Firefox-PC
Firefox allows you to control both pop-ups and pop-unders through the Content panel in the Options ->
Preferences window. Pop-up blocking is turned on by default.
When blocking a pop-up, Firefox displays an information bar, as well as an icon in the status bar.
When you click either the Options button in the information bar or the icon in the status bar, a menu is
displayed with the following choices:
Allow/Block pop-ups for this site
Edit Pop-up Blocker Options…

pop-ups for important features. Blocking all pop-ups disables such features. To allow specific websites to
use pop-ups, while blocking all others, you can add specific websites to the list of allowed sites.
At the top of the Firefox window, on the menu bar, click on the Tools -Firefox- Edit menu, and select
Options- Preferences. Then select the Content Panel
