Research Assistance to Prof Alan Krueger, Princeton University, Princeton    2006-2007
    Worked with Prof Krueger on his latest book: What Makes a Terrorist: Economics and the
      Roots of Terrorism. My work included preparing a database, basic statistical analysis of
      secondary data, and reviewing early drafts.

     Carried out research on use of economic instruments for biodiversity restoration in the U.S. and
        various EU countries. The report will be used for preparing a practical toolkit for implementation of
        new EU directive on biodiversity remediation.

International Water Management Institute (IWMI), India

 Carried out practical policy research on issues like:
     Technical and institutional innovations in provisioning power supply for rural areas
     Evolving proactive power supply regime for agricultural use
 Presented a paper identifying new ways to supply electricity for agriculture before the mid-term review
    panel of the Planning Commission of India
 Carried out a study of management transfer of public tubewells in Gujarat, India. The study
    suggestions have been incorporated in the reformed transfer policy by the government agency
 Led the team for writing a research proposal on Groundwater Governance in South Asia and North
    China. It received a funding of 2 million dollars and was one of the 25 selected proposals out of 341
    submitted in an international competitive bidding process.
 Built research capacity in NGOs by conducting collaborative research projects with them
 Edited, Scientific Publications of IWMI, India. Brought out 43 Research Highlights
