What is the Munich Massacre?
• The Munich Massacre occurred in the year
1972 in Munich, Germany in the 20th Olympic
games.
The Event
• Took place in September 5th, 1972, 4:30 AM.
• 8 Palestinians killed 2 Israeli athletes.
• 9 other Israeli athletes were hostages.

Demands
• Demanded 234 Palestinians in Israel to go
free.

• Israel refuses to release the Palestinian prisoners.
• Egypt does not want to be involved, despite that
the terrorists wanted to go there.

• The terrorists and the hostages went to an
airport.
• Snipers fired and killed three terrorists.
• Gun fight started.
• All hostages got killed, as well as one
policeman and two more terrorists.
