Experience

      IBM Corp, RTP. : May 1999 - Present
         o Intelligent Building Management Developer (December 2010 – Present)
            Develop mashups using IBM Mashup Center for use in the Intelligent
            Building Management product. Develop SQL and database stored
            procedures to pull appropriate usage data from several databases. Develop
            Java code to serve as an interface to Maximo’s REST API which performs
            queries and formats data from the Maximo database. Responsible for the
            build of the IIBM code as well as defect support. Assist on site IBM
            services professionals setting up the product. IIBM is delivered as a set of
            VMs, so VMWare/VSphere client are utilized; Familiarity with
            WebSphere Application Server required.
         o L3 Tivoli Asset Management for IT and Maximo UI Software
            Engineer (August 2009 – December 2010)
            Provide level 3 support for Maximo based asset management product and
            base Maximo UI issues. Maximo is written mostly in Java. Provide
            analysis, debugging, and coding fixes for the product. Assist with the test
            efforts of current release by writing test automation cases in Java using
            Rational Function Tester. Assist with installer for future releases by
            completing build/install assignments from the install contact. Visit
            customer sites when appropriate.
         o Install Developer (Mar 2007 – August 2009), Team Lead
            Develop Java code for an XML parser. Use a variety of installer IDEs
            including InstallShield 5.03, InstallShield Multi-Platform (ISMP11.5), and
            InstallAnywhere to develop installers for different products and write the
            backend Java code for these installers. Provide defect support for installer
            code. Team Lead for TDI Installer and CA for z/OS Installer. Technical
            team lead for WebSphere Business Events (WBE) installer in an Agile
            development environment.
       o   Communications Server Security Developer (Jan 2003 – Mar 2007),
           Team Lead
           Developed IKE functionality, added NAT Traversal, AES cryptography,
           and added GUI support in the Z/OS (OS390) Communications Server
           environment. Duties included all cycles of the development phase,
           including design, code/unit test, Functional Verification test, and defect
           support for System Verification test. Projects completed in C/C++/Java.
           Led multiple line-items and was team lead.
       o   L2 Secureway Firewall/Policy Director for MQ Series Software
           Engineer (May 1999 - Dec 2003)
           Provided in-depth technical support on IBM's Secureway Firewall product
           and related applications. Secureway Firewall included proxies, SOCKS,
           SMTP, NAT, and IP filtering. Related applications included DNS, IP
           tracing, TCP/IP, routing, and the AIX and Windows operating systems.
           Policy Director for MQ Series provided security for IBM's legacy MQ
           Series messaging application. Customers included banks and government
           agencies and required support on business critical systems.
