                        BOOSTER CLUB MEETING

-OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE HELP TO COACH HALL WHERE EVER POSSIBLE
-ALL INPUT AND SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME
NOTES FROM COACH HALL
     -REQUESTED BOOSTER CLUB TO PROVIDE UNIFORMS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL
     TEAMS WITH HELP FROM SCHOOL DISTRICT RESOURCES (BOOSTER CLUB
     WILL DO SO, WITH MONEY ALLOTTED FOR BATTING CAGES FOR THE
     MIDDLE SCHOOLS WHICH HAVE BEEN PUT ON HOLD DUE TO
     CONSTRUCTION PLANS)
     -WANTS TO SEE MORE INVOLVEMENT FROM PARENTS WITH THE BOOSTER
     CLUB AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL
     -BOOSTER CLUB IS RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING BANNER IN THE GYM OF
     THE NORTH BLDG UPDATED TO SHOW 3 TIME DISTRICT CHAMPS,
     ELIZABETH WILL SPEAK WITH A/D REGARDING THIS MATTER.
     -WANTS THE GIRLS TO STAY IN A HOTEL WHEN ATTENDING THE
     WILLIAMSPORT TOURNAMENT (VARSITY PLAYERS). DATES ARE MAY 7TH
     AND 8TH. WILL START LOOKING EARLY FOR BEST POSSIBLE RATE FOR
     HOTELS IN THE AREA.
     -ALL VARISTY AND JUNIOR VARISTY PLAYERS---EVERYONE MUST NOTIFY
     COACH HALL IF YOUR DAUGHTER WILL NOT BE IN TOWN FOR TRYOUTS
     ON MARCH 8TH AND 9TH (SPRING BREAK) HE MAY CONSIDER CHANGING
     THE TRYOUT DATE TO MARCH 10TH IF TOO MANY GIRLS WILL NOT BE IN
     TOWN.
****WORK-OUTS FOR 6-8TH AS BEEN CANCELLED FOR JAN 16TH DUE TO ALL NIGHT

     AND SNACKS FOR 30 TO BE COLLECTED AT THE 1st PITCH SOCIAL)
     MEDIA GUIDE – ED AND LISA GLANTZ (SHADOWED BY MARK
     BOWMAN) DEADLINE FOR AD COLLECTION IS FEB. 28TH
     50/50 – TOM JUSKA AND KATHY WILTS
     PICTURE DAY – SHARYN EVERHART
     FIELD DAY – RUSS GRAHAM (MARCH 20TH AND/OR MARCH 21ST)
     CLOTHING SALES – BRENDA NOLAN

     HOME GAME CONCESSIONS (VARSITY) – PAM HART (SHADOWED BY CHAD
     AND TRACEY FRANCIS) WILL NEED ALL THE HELP THAT IS POSSIBLE

     HIGH SCHOOL BANQUET – KRIS EDEN, ELIZABETH DAYE (SHADOWED BY
     STEVE AND DINA GUTHOFF)
     SENIOR DAY – OPEN   (Shadowing was offered by the McVay’s)


-ELIZABETH WOULD LIKE ALL CHAIRS TO KEEP A LOG OF HOW THINGS WERE
DONE TO PASS ON TO THE FOLLOWING YEAR’S CHAIR SO THEY HAVE A GUIDELINE
OF HOW TO GET THINGS STARTED. IT WILL BE A WORK IN PROGRESS TO BE
CHANGED OVER THE YEARS AS NEEDED SO THAT EVERYTHING GOES AS
SMOOTHLY AS POSSIBLE FOR UPCOMING VOLUNTEERS. PLEASE GIVE HER A
COPY, SHE WILL PUT IT WITH HER BINDER OF THINGS TO PASS ALONG TO THE
NEXT PERSON IN CHARGE THE FOLLOWING YEAR
-EXECUTIVE BOARD VOTED THAT OUR PRIMARY FUNDRAISER THIS YEAR WILL BE:

     CLOTHING SALES
     - DECIDED NOT TO DO THE COMEDY CLUB OR SUBWAY FUNDRASIERS
-PICTURE DAY WILL BE MARCH 20TH
-FIELD DAY SET FOR MARCH 20TH AND OR 21ST WEATHER PERMITTING
     -FIRST SCRIMMAGE MARCH 24TH W/CENTRAL DAUPHIN (HOME) THEN
     SCRIMMAGE W/BELLEFONTE MARCH 26TH.
-MEDIA GUIDE ---WE ARE ASKING THAT EVERYONE FROM 7TH TO 12TH GRADE TRY
TO SELL ONE AD FOR THE GUIDE. THIS CAN BE A PERSONAL MESSAGE OR A
BUSINESS AD. THE DEADLINE FOR THE ADS IS FEB 26TH (NEEDS TO BE TO THE
PRINTERS 2WKS BEFORE FIRST GAME TO HAVE IT READY) ADS ARE EASIER TO
TAKE OUT THAN PUT IN SO IF YOU ARE THINKING OF A PERSONAL AD AND ARE
NOT SURE WHAT TO DO….IT CAN BE TAKEN OUT IF NEEDED. IT IS NEARLY
IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT ONE IN AFTER DEADLINE.
-THERE ARE EXTRA COPIES OF LAST YEARS GUIDE IF SOMEONE WOULD LIKE COPY
(MIDDLE SCHOOLS DIDN’T RECEIVE GUIDES) CONTACT ELIZABETH.
-BRENDA AND THE SENIORS, WHO WERE INTERESTED, ARE MEETING JAN 19TH
WITH ROSEWOOD TO PICK OUT AND GO OVER DESIGNS FOR CLOTHING SALES.
SAMPLES SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AT FIRST PITCH SOCIAL.
- SPAGHETTI DINNER—
     -ALL GIRLS 7TH-12TH ASKED TO HELP SERVE DINNERS, PARENT VOLUNTEERS
     ASKED TO HELP IN KITCHEN.
     -9TH-12TH GRADERS ARE ASKED TO PROVIDE A DESSERT FOR 18 TO 20
     PEOPLE ON INDIVIDUAL PLATES.
     -BOOSTER CLUB PROVIDES DRINKS, USUALLY WATER AND/OR LEMONADE.
     -PROPOSED TO BUY 450 DINNERS THIS YEAR.
     -COST WILL BE $7.00 FOR ADULTS $4.00 FOR KIDS 5-12 AND FREE FOR 4
     AND UNDER.

     -EACH FAMILY WILL BE ASKED TO SELL 10 TICKETS, TO SUPPORT
     THE SOFTBALL PROGRAM.


-ED GLANTZ ASKED THAT ANYONE THAT TAKES PICTURES DURING THE GAMES
THAT THEY SEND HIM COPIES TO BE PUT IN THE VIDEO FOR END OF THE YEAR
BANQUET.
-ALSO MENTIONED THAT THEY COULD BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE, MIDDLES
SCHOOLS INCLUDED
-IT WAS SUGGESTED TO CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS A PHOTO CLUB AT THE HIGH
SCHOOL THAT MY BE INTERESTED IN COMING OUT TO TAKE PICTURES. ED WILL
ASK
-MIDDLE SCHOOL ASKED THAT THEY BE INCLUDED IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE
BOOSTER CLUB. EVERYONE WILL START RECEIVING EMAILS. IF YOU KNOW
SOMEONE WHO IS NOT RECEIVING THEM PLEASE GIVE THEM BRENDA’S EMAIL

-MIDDLE SCHOOL REPS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING PEOPLE INVOLVED,
GAME DAY 50/50, CONCESSION STANDS, THEIR BANQUETS (NO NEED FOR
COMMITTEE APPROVAL) AND FIELD DAY. MONEY RAISED WILL BE REPORTED TO
BOOSTER CLUB. BOOSTER CLUB ALOTTED $400 FOR BANQUETS LAST YEAR.
