Sr. Electrical Engineer – SMPS Design contract / project
Lumitec, a fast paced, innovative marine lighting company is seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer for our lean product development team in Delray Beach, FL.
This role will be on a contract/project basis initially; however there is a possibility of a
longer term role as we continue to expand our product development team. The scope of
work includes development of switching power supplies for LED lighting.
To be considered, the candidate must be able to demonstrate the following REQUIRED
attributes:
1. A deep understanding of switch-mode power supply design; specifically AC
line powered, constant-current supplies for high-power LED lighting. The
candidate should have a thorough knowledge of the physics of power
MOSFETS and IGBTs, SMPS circuit topologies, and currently available
controller / driver ICs.
2. Recent, verifiable experience at designing and bringing to market PF-
corrected SMPS designs of greater than 100 watts. The scope of the projects
must have included quantitative cost-performance tradeoff analysis, EMI
mitigation, and regulatory compliance testing.
3. Proficiency at SPICE simulation and PC layout using Altium (preferred) or
other ECAD software.
4. An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters strongly
preferred.

Gardens.
