Vegetable oil is often added to the grain of underweight horses and

other rescued farm animals to add calories safely to their diet.

For horses, vegetable oil promotes a healthy coat and

skin and encourages good gut health.

For draft horses, vegetable oil helps prevent EPSM, a muscle-wasting

disease common in larger breeds of equine.

Donations of vegetable oil may be dropped off at the sanctuary at any time and left in

the wooden bins in front of the office. If you would like a thank you letter and

tax receipt, please leave your contact information taped to your donation.
