Area Project Manager

 Acted as Sr. Project manager for several large -scale IT projects including the $9 Million Cook County CABS live -

scan fingerprint & mug shot project tha t included a solution for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and more than

120 municipal police agencies throughout Cook County.

 Successfully implemented electronic fingerprinting equipment (Windows -based workstations with FBI IQS

certified fingerprint scanners), mug shot workstations (Personal Oracle, Oracle Forms, and NIST compliant mug

shot images), and the Cook County Jail Two Finger Identification (TFI) inmate tracking system (Client/server

system with MS SQL Server and Windows-based Client).

 Coordinated the interface of the CABS system with the Chicago Police Department (CPD) Oracle Records

Management Systems (CHRIS/CLEAR), the CPD Automated Fingerprint Identific ation System (AFIS), the Illinois

State Police (ISP) AFIS, the ISP Oracle Records Management System (CHRI/I-CLEAR), and the FBI AFIS.

 Created and maintained detailed project plans (MS Project) to ensure the project stayed within acceptable

variances for scope, schedule and budget.

 Oversaw project implementation and ensured junior project managers completed deliverables and milestones on

 Secured the sale of an $850,000 upgrade of the Chicago Police Department Automated Fingerprint ID System

(NEC-2003).

 Secured the sale and successfully implemented the $9 Million live -scan electronic fingerprint system for the Cook

County Sheriff’s Police Department (NEC-2002).

 Realized approx. $600K in manpower savings by successfully implementing the new electronic fingerprint

equipment, which automated the fingerprint classification and quality control processes (CPD-1998).

 Realized approximately $400,000 in manpower savings after successfully implementing remote demographics

terminals that interfaced live-scan data input with the IBM AS400 (CPD- 1995)
