Classes 1 – 4 qualify for the Summer Series Championship on 30th & 31st August 2008 (2 x double

clears to qualify)

CONDITIONS OF SHOW



1. All Exhibitors and Competitors are particularly advised to read these Rules and Conditions carefully.

Entries will only be accepted and competitors allowed to compete on the clear understanding that they

agree to comply with and be bound by the Rules and Conditions.

2. Entries in all classes are confined to horses and ponies registered with the B.S.J.A. Rule 79. No responsibility

will be accepted by the organisers for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or their

property, servants or horses in connection with or arising out of this show. It shall be considered a condition

of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the promoters against any legal actions arising there from.

3. The decision of the judges will be final. If any person lodges an objection, such objection must be made

in writing within 30 minutes of the incident, together with a deposit of £100 to be returned if the objection is

upheld.

4. The organisers retain the right to refuse any entry or to amend the details of the schedule if the instances

of the programme require and to cancel any class with insufficient entries. B.S.J.A. Rule 76.6 maybe

applied.

5. Failure to exhibit any animal entered will entail forfeiture of entry fees, other than in accordance with

B.S.J.A. Rule 79.4.

6. The organisers reserve the right to remove any vehicle or chattels which are obstructing any access to or

on the showground even if locked, secured, unattended and braked and they will not be liable for any

injury, loss, damage etc.

7. The organisers reserve the right to exclude from the meeting or remove from the showground any person

or property for any reason and without giving a reason.

8. Any competitor found schooling in the rings without permission will be disqualified from the show and

reported to the B.S.J.A.

9. The organisers may in any dispute or any other matter act or decide in any manner they think fit.

10. Any competitor occupying a stable not reserved and paid for will be reported to the B.S.J.A. and will

forfeit any prize money which they may have won at the show.

11. The Hand Equestrian Centre reserves the right to refuse any entry whatsoever with no refund of entry

fees or stable fees.

12. Hats conforming to BS4673/BS4472/PAS015 and correct footwear must be worn at all times when

mounted.

13. Please keep all dogs on a SHORT lead. Dogs are not allowed in the area of the toilets or café/bar.

14. Please do not skip lorries out onto the parking area.

15. There is to be NO SMOKING in the building.

16. No motorcycles of any description allowed on the showground.

17. It is a necessity for your B.S.J.A. numbers for horses, riders, owners to be filled out on your entry form and

sent to The Hand Equestrian Centre before the entries closing date.

18. No refund on stables without vet’s certificate or doctor’s note. These must be received 5 working days

prior to the first day of the show. Please note stallions will be stabled in the permanent stables.

19. No entries or stable bookings will be taken over the telephone.

20. Signature by the person making the entries shall be deemed to be an acceptance of the conditions

herein contained in this schedule.

21. B.S.J.A. Rules 82.21 No member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee,

authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete in any show jumping competition

without taking adequate precautions to ensure other member of the public are not at risk of injury.

22. A fee of £5,00 per entry will be charged for any change of classes or transfer of horse from one class to

another. This fee is payable in cash at time of alteration.

23. Prize money must be claimed on the day of the show.

24. No horses are to be tied to the side of lorries at anytime.
