Main Street Candy Cane Row Decorating.
Whether holiday-oriented, business-themed, artistic or advent
guard, this is your chance to express yourself & your business!
Use your imagination and make your candy cane seasonably
memorable!!!!!!!
Any business, service organization or individual may participate
(limited number available).
The cost is $5.00 per candy cane, plus whatever costs you incur for
materials to decorate your candy cane. Entry fee includes candy cane
frame and installation.
You may decorate however you like. Be creative, but please keep them
tasteful! The committee reserves the right to eliminate a candy cane if
it is deemed inappropriate.
Candy canes will be displayed from December 2 – January 2.
Candy canes must be decorated to withstand outdoor elements (sun,
rain, snow, ice, wind, etc).
The total height of the candy cane once decorated can not be more
than 48 inches high.
Decorations must be permanently attached to the frame.
The committee will not be held responsible for materials or items used
to decorate the candy canes.
The committee will not be held liable for any damage, theft or
vandalism to the scarecrows at any time.
All candy canes must be returned to the town office, 10 Frederick Rd.,
or to R.S. Kinnaird, 6 Boundary Ave., no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday,
December 2nd.

Candy cane kits including a frame will be supplied by Thurmont First, Inc. Altered frames will not
be accepted due to height limitations with the parking meters.
