Zero Mile Stone Nagpur, Maharashtra.[1] Zero Mile Stone was constructed

शन्य मैलाचा दगड

ू by the Britishers and this point was used to measure

all the distances.[2] The Zero Mile Stone consists of four

— landmark —

horses and a pillar made up of sandstone. In 2008, The

Times of India took the responsibility to maintain the

monument for next 5 years.[3]

The English rulers considered Nagpur as the centre of

India and hence identified this point and constructed the

Zero Mile Stone. Being at the center of the country, they

also had a plan to make Nagpur the second capital city.
