NO COFFEE
Caffeine is the "drug of choice" for 90% of Americans. How does it affect the
body? According to cancer researcher Dr. Bruce Ames, coffee is the No.2
cause of cancer today. Coffee is a mind-altering stimulant that produces a
surge of nervous energy, only to leave its victims exhausted, irritable, short-
tempered, depressed and depleted. Caffeine is converted to uric acid helping
to turn the body into an "acid bag" (low pH level), which is the cause of
painful gout, a form of arthritis. It stimulates the brain cortex, which can
cause poor balance, racing heart, poor memory, fatigue, hand tremors,
anxiety, hostility, headaches, dehydration and many other disorders. The
link between coffee and osteoporosis, high blood pressure, poor circulation,
miscarriages, breast cancer and raised blood sugar levels is irrefutable.
But these are only the short-term effects. Another coffee chemical-
Methylxanthines - actually alters the protoplasm of cells in concentrated
amounts, and may remain there for life. They cause gene-altering changes
which can be seen in offspring. Dr. Agatha Thrash comments in "Poison With
A Capital C" thus: "It is frightening to contemplate that such a widespread
habit is most surely weakening the entire race and causing permanent loss
of certain facilities of the mind, or resistance to disease through mutation
damage of chromosomes!" How about decaffeinated coffee? Coffee has at
least 100 potentially harmful chemical components which are still present in
decaffeinated coffee.
If you are a coffee drinker who wants to kick this detrimental habit, we have
good news for you. There is a little known coffee substitute on the market
that tastes just like coffee, but contains none of coffee's undesirable
ingredients. It is made of a special blend of herbs such as Clearing Nut,
Kasmad, Licorice and Winter Cherry. They add up to a genuine coffee aroma,
and a healthy antioxidant drink with every sip. It’s more expensive, but
worth every drop.
