This report contains information on phosphate mines, deposits, and
mineral occurrences. The data were largely culled from published
literature. The status of development of some of the mines may
have changed since the source reference for the information was
published. Locations were largely taken from the literature or
located using the GEOnet Names server on the National Imagery and
Mapping Agency's website (www.nima.mil).

This report is available in PDF format in its entirety. Because
the main data table for Part B contains latitudes and longitudes,
both data tables are also available as Excel worksheets called
OF02156A.xls and OF02156B.xls. A metadata file is included.
Users of the data should be aware that locations were not
available for all sites and that some of the data fields may not
be necessary for some uses. Therefore, the user should plan on
editing the data before incorporation into a Geographic
Information System or other use.
