On December 15, 2011, SonoSite announced that it had entered into a definitive merger agreement pursuant to
which Fujifilm will make an all-cash tender offer to acquire all outstanding shares of the company for $54 per share.
The tender offer is scheduled to commence within 20 business days and will remain open for 21 U.S. business days
after commencement. SonoSite's board of directors has already unanimously approved the transaction.

On October 25, 2011, the company reported better than expected financial results for that third-quarter of fiscal
year 2011 that beat analyst projections. SonoSite reported earnings per share (EPS) of $0.05 for the quarter,
beating analyst estimates of an EPS of only $0.048 for the same period.
