anyway).Once again there have been some changes, so check the

Very kindly, Sara Pryke and Clare Trinder have decided to swap
places this month, Emily Simpson has leapt into 9th place and
Catherine Gladwyn has shot out of the dark and made her way into
equal 10th alongside Mel.
But there are plenty of active people just lurking round the corner
to grab a position or two. Watch out for Nicola Aslam, Karin
Marwick and Julie Collar, they are catching up very quickly!!
Now on the male table, Craig has passed his crown, (no doubt
temporarily) onto Joel for a while, clearly it was just too heavy for
him to carry! Phil has cunningly crept into third, and due to his
misdemeanours Mike has slipped down the table once again.
Welcome to Ady and AJ who have made their appearance in the
chart. The two Alex's and Paul Hope aren't too far behind and will
be with you shortly guys!
There are many opportunities to gain a point or two. Club and
race attendance, park run, back marking, beginners help, looking
stunning in lycra, new shoes, and a PB all contribute. I try to keep
a tab on everything, but I only have one pair of eyes, so please feel
free to let me know if you think someone needs a Brucie bonus or
even a penalty point.
Congrats and bonus points to all those who took part in a very
soggy Track and Trail, and to Sara Harber who recently reduced
her half marathon time by a huge 17 minutes! I asked her for the
secret to her success, but she was too busy studying the contents of
her wine glass to answer.
Well done to all those who have regularly attended ParkRun and
are getting quicker each week. Joel has recently put in a sterling
effort to break the 20 minute barrier. Emily Simpson has been
getting quicker each week and I am sure Tim Stokes will break the
sub 30 barrier soon too. I have been watching!
Equally, a round of applause to all those coming to club week after
week and embracing some of my more challenging routes.
Please let me know if you decide to attempt a longer run for the
first time, or achieve something such as making it all the way to the
top of Kingshill without the need for medical intervention.
Huge appreciation to all those that have back marked, your efforts
have not gone unnoticed, but it would be fab if I could have a few
more male volunteers :)
