I woke, after a deep sleep. Lost in the tunnels underground I wandered for hours. It was incredibly dark, but every now and then I would catch a glimpse of light ahead of me. I pondered if it was my imagination. It had changed shapes so many times in the past that I was almost positive that it could illuminate itself so it could see in the dark. I traveled for what seemed like hours. The flashes of light no longer burst through the tunnel. The tunnel started to turn left; slowly it wound its way down. Slowly at first light started to fill the tunnel, until I could see clearly in front of me. I turned around and looked down the dark passage behind me. I wondered where the light came from. The air in the tunnel changed, from damp cold to a nice dry warm breeze. Slowly I wound my way through the tunnel. I walked for about 15 more minutes until the trail split into three different tunnels. I stood in the cross roads, wondering what way I should go. In one direction, to the left, the air coming out of the tunnel was incredibly cold. To the right the air was incredibly hot. Strait in front, the air was warm, tolerable, and it smelled of the forest, right after a nice summer rain. I started my walk forward. The air was fresh, wild flowers filled the air, and the smell was intoxicating. The tunnel opened up into a massive cavern. Light poured in everywhere. A massive forest covered the cavern floor. Warmth filled the cavern. I surveyed the area; down below sneaking into the forest was my imagination. It peered up at me and sneered, showing its pointy little teeth. I jumped from the ledge where the tunnel met with the cavern and started in chase. I was going to get my imagination; I was going to hurt it. Make it pay for what it had done. Sliding down the side of the cavern my shoes slid across the gravel until I hit the soft dirt at the edge of the forest. Grass grew along with small bushes along the edge of the massive pine trees. Turning back I glanced back at the entrance. A small breeze lifted the branches on a pine tree next to me and traveled through the massive pine trees in front of me. A small laugh filled the air, my imagination was watching me, peering through the trees it watched as I entered into the forest in pursuit, seeking revenge.
