Q.1.Where and when were you born?
I was born in Drogheda in 1940.
Q.2.Tell me about your family.
My mother’s name is Dorothy Jacques.
My father’s name is Walter Jacques.
I am the only child in my family but I have
five beautiful children myself.
Q.3.What is your first vivid memory?
My first vivid memory would have to be dancing on
stage in the Gate Cinema.
Q.4.What was your childhood home like?
My childhood home was very cosy. Being at home
was very enjoyable. I had a lovely home and really
miss it.
Q.5.What was the best gift you remember receiving
as a child?
When I was 8 years old I got a bottle of Channel
Number 5.
Q.6.What games did you play?
Roller skating, skipping and singing were games I
used to play.
Q.7.Did you have any pets?
Yes I had a lovely white fluffy cat called Nifty.
Q.8.What was school like?
I really enjoyed school and loved going to school
everyday.
Q.9.What was your favourite subject?
My favourite subject was maths.
Q.10.What did you want to be when you grow up?
I wanted to be a clothes designer but instead I was a
shoe designer.
Q.11.Who was your hero as a child?
My hero would have to be Elvis Presley.
Q.12.What is the difference about growing up now
From when you were young?
When I was younger there was no T.V and we
Would have played outside more often.
Q.14.What was your hobbies as a child?
I loved to draw.

My best friend as a child is a girl called Maida
