HOODOO 2 LIFT INSTRUCTIONS.

REAR – To fit spacers at the rear, refer to the Mk 1 instructions for this procedure.

They are identical.

FRONT –

Jack up under lower arm on one side and support vehicle under cross

member using an axle stand.

Remove wheel.

Remove brake caliper and support out of the way.

Remove hub nut and central splined unit complete with disc.

Undo the three 13mm nuts securing the top and lower ball joints,

swing hub unit to the rear, pivoting on the track rod and clearing the CV joint, and

support.

Remove shock absorber. You can just remove the lower mounting bolt if

necessary, in which case compress the bottom upwards and secure with a piece of

string.

Lower the jack and pull clear once contact is lost, then push the arm

down further and remove the spring.

Remove the Lada rubber spring seat, complete with the brass rubber

holder, then fit the spacer over the BN tube, followed by the Lada spring seat and

brass holder. Also dry fit the spring. It may be necessary to trim the brass holder a bit

to allow proper seating of the spring.

Once satisfied with the fit, fit everything in place over the upper cone.

You may wish to weld the BN tube to the base of the cone. Remember to ensure the

hollows for the coil ends are correctly positioned top and bottom so the spring will

seat properly.

As on the Mk 1 kit, cut 1” off the upper bump stop, and space out the

pivot bolts of the upper arm by 3mm.

Now refit everything, reversing the removal procedure.

Once both sides are complete, check the camber angle of the front

wheels. They should be vertical. If leaning in at the top (negative camber) jack up

under the lower arm, remove wheel, and insert some more washers (the same

thickness on the bolts front, rear, and both sides. Note that jacking under the lower

arm removes pressure from the upper arm, and there is no danger of it flying off when

the pivot bolts are released (one at a time!).

NOW GET THE TRACKING DONE!! It will be toeing out as a result of

lifting.

Also note that fitting this kit is entirely the responsibility of the installer!!

BN tube dimensions - 80mm ID.

4mm wall thickness.

60mm tall.
