The Ancient Threat Episode II:
The Ancient Awakening
Story, not the scrip (well, maybe pre-script)t:
Daasev has finished his mission on Orthand and is traveling to Coruscant after he
has received a call to attend an urgent meeting among top senators of the republic
from Itteh Tii.
Daasev‟s ship blasts out of hyperspace, and hurdles towards Coruscant (maybe he should
learn to fly… ;) ). He swoops down through the elegant buildings, and touches down on a
landing platform. A Jedi student waits on the platform, and when Daasev reaches her, she
introduces herself as DRIA RYTHONE. She informs him that she is Itteh Tii‟s
apprentice. She tells him that he and her mistress are wanted in a senate meeting with top
Republic leaders about the happenings on Orthand. She has been assigned to act as
Daasev‟s bodyguard in case the Confederate Systems make an attempt on his life. She
leads him towards a door in the large building that the landing platform is connected to.
At this point there is an explosion on top of the building and assassin droids appear and
start firing at the crowd of people who have come out of the building fallowing the
explosion. One of these is a Jedi (Itteh Tii). The platform they are standing on collapses
and all of them fall into the dark depths of Coruscant.
Meanwhile, a sniper fires a targeting rocket at Daasev. He dodges the rocket, but it
destroys a portion of the walkway he and Dria are standing on, and he falls through onto
a service platform, about 15 feet below. (This may change…depends on how stuff works
out in Radiant) Jumping to his feet, he says: “Great, not another taxi…” Dria, who was
thrown towards the door in the large building, runs to the edge. By this time several more
rockets have been fired and she dodges back through the door in the building, so she can
get to the lower access ways where Daasev is. Daasev has been forced, by the rockets, to
run the other way towards an opening in the building, under the walkway above. This is
where the level starts. Not too large, please, Gaby „ol chap…I have another level besides
this one to make.
Daasev eventually reaches a landing platform on the other side of the large building…this
landing platform is next to (far enough to jump to) another landing platform which has
Dria‟s ship. Just then a bounty hunter fires a bowcaster shot at Daasev stunning him (like
one did to Mara in Mysteries of the Sith). Dria comes through the door to this landing
platform (Daasev came up from the service walkway for this platform, like the one on the
other platform.). She shouts “Hey!”, but the bounty hunter is already taking off. She is
able to attach a tracking device to the ship, however. She then jumps to the platform her
ship is on and takes off in it to pursue the bounty hunters ship. (These details can be
tweaked, but this the general gist of it.)
Dria is in her ship, in space, and is talking to master Gyio Meeir: “Master Meeir, there
has been an attack on the Coruscant meeting and my master, Itteh Tii, has been killed and
Daasev Itek has been taken prisoner by a bounty hunter. I managed to attach a tracking
device to the bounty hunter‟s ship, and it has just emerged from hyperspace and is
heading towards a planet.”
Gyio Meeir: “You know something of this planet?”
Dria: “Yes…it is the one my father and I were traveling to when our ship was attacked by
the pirates…master Meeir, I suspect there was something more than my grief behind my
rage. Something on that ship. I have heard of ancient Sith holocrons and the immense
power they hold…might one have been in my father‟s shipment? Was that what fueled
my rage? Can I connect with the power contained in Sith artifacts!?”
Gyio Meeir: “Dria, I understand your confusion and worries, but remember you must
focus on the task at hand. If the bounty hunter is taking Daasev to this planet, then it is
quite possible that the Dark Jedi in charge of the Confederate Systems is on this planet
searching for the holocron. Daasev killed his apprentice, and in true Dark Jedi customs,
this dark Jedi might want Daasev as his new apprentice. Dria, Sith holocrons have terrible
power…it can corrupt good people and make them do its bidding. Daasev is strong, but
there is no telling what may happen to him if he is exposed to the power of that Sith
holocron. I believe you have the power to stay unaffected by the holocron‟s power and
possibly even control it. Just the same beware of it‟s power, but be even more aware of
it‟s affect on those around it…especially Daasev. He and Jyce were not so different when
they were friends on Coruscant, and it didn‟t take much to turn Jyce…with the power of a
Sith holocron behind him, this dark Jedi may turn Daasev more easily than he turned
Jyce. Try your best to keep him from falling. Another enigma that has been troubling me
is that of Daasev‟s master, Ore Wynn. None of us here at the Jedi Academy really knew
his background, and he seemed more unreadable than one would expect a Jedi teacher to
be, but he seemed truly to be a very kind and wise Jedi. It is possible, however, that he
once experienced the power of this Sith holocron, and has never quite gotten over it and
when he discovered information about the possible location of it, he could not resist. If he
finds the holocron he will not be able to control himself and he will be consumed by it
leaving himself a slave to its power. You may be the only single Jedi capable of
withstanding the power of the holocron, and because of this, it is you who must take
possession of the holocron and disperse its power and render it harmless. We can give
you no backup, at this time, as the assault on Coruscant has all available Jedi busy at this
time, and there is no guarantee that they would resist the power of the Sith holocron. We
will dispatch republic troops as soon as is possible, but until then you‟re on your own.
May the Force be with you.”
Dria: “I understand master. May the Force be with you too.”
