Lori A. Cuervo, Managing Director
Mrs. Cuervo has a diverse financial and technical background in
the energy industry with nearly 20 years of experience. She has
had P&L responsibility for a diverse portfolio of independent
power projects. She has analyzed credit and risk management
issues. Mrs. Cuervo has assessed, analyzed, and built valuation
models for all types of generation technologies as well as all types
of M&A transactions. In addition, she has managed several work-
outs and bankruptcy proceedings. On the regulatory front, Mrs.
Cuervo has prepared expert testimony for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
and has provided expert witness testimony in generation valuation cases. She also
managed a team of financial and technical analysts to provide support services in asset
and portfolio valuation, acquisitions and divestitures, engineering due diligence, and
independent engineering.
Mrs. Cuervo has worked with a variety of power generation technologies including gas,
wood, coal, waste-to-energy, hydroelectric, and wind. She has evaluated various fuel
choices including gas reburn, oremulsion, and coal blending. Mrs. Cuervo has also
provided sell-side representation for the divestiture of power assets, prepared financial
analyses for asset purchases, and has provided independent engineering services to
financial institutions looking to invest in power assets.
In the variety of roles she has held throughout her career, Mrs. Cuervo has developed an
extensive network of contacts throughout the energy industry and in both the merchant
and contracted generation arenas. Prior to joining Complete Energy Holdings, she was a
partner at Twin Pine Capital Resources. She has also worked with Brown, Williams,
Moorhead & Quinn; Allegheny Energy; NRG Energy; DAI Management Consultants;
EG&G; and Hagler, Bailly. She received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the
University of West Virginia.
Mrs. Cuervo is active in her community where she serves as Vice President on the PTA
Board and as a cheerleading coach for the Youth Football Association. She is also
involved in girls softball and serves as a committee chair for activities at the elementary
school.
