• ¿La iglesia no es esencial? ¿Se puede ir al
cielo sin ser miembro de la iglesia? Así
dicen muchas personas. Para ellos la iglesia
no es importante. Deben leer Efesios.
• The church is not essential? We can go to
heaven without being members of the
church? This is what many people think. For
them the church is not important. They
should read Ephesians.
• La carta de Pablo a los efesios explica la
importancia de la iglesia. Habla de “la
iglesia gloriosa” y explica lo que la hace
gloriosa.
• The letter of Paul to the Ephesians explains
the importance of the church. He speaks of
“the glorious church” and explains what
makes it glorious.

espiritual en Cristo... 4 Escogidos para ser
santos … 5 adoptados hijos … 6 aceptos …
7 redención 2:18 acceso al Padre.

• 1:8 Dios ha hecho abundar su gracia para
con nosotros; 9 dándonos a conocer su
voluntad; 11 hemos obtenido herencia; 12
para la alabanza de su gloria; 18 esperanza
• 1:8 God has made His grace abound toward
us; 9 making known to us His will; 11 we
have obtained an inheritance; 12 for the
praise of His glory; 18 hope.
• Posible tener conocimiento profundo
(1:18,19). Cinco peticiones: 3:16 fortale-
cidos, 17 Cristo more en nosotros, 18
capaces de comprender, 19 conocer el amor
de Cristo, seáis llenos de plenitud de Dios.
• Possible to have profound knowledge
(1:18,19). Five petitions: 3:16 strengthened,
17 Cristo dwell in you, 18 capable of
comprehending, 19 know the love of Christ,
be filled with the fulness of God.
• La iglesia existe para la exaltación de Cristo.
1:20-23 le sentó a su diestra en los lugares
celestiales, 21 sobre todo principado y
autoridad; 22 cabeza de la iglesia, su cuerpo
• The church exists for the exaltation of Christ
1:20-23 He seated Him at His right hand in
the heavenly places, 21 above all rule and
authority; 22 head of the church, His body.
• 2:11-16 La iglesia existe para reconciliación
de todo creyente en un cuerpo. 12 estába-
mos (los gentiles) lejos de Dios; 13 ahora
cercanos; 14, Jesús quitó la ley de Moisés.
• 2:11-16 The church exists for the reconci-
liation of every believer in one body. 12 we
(Gentiles) were far from God; 13 now we are
near; 14, Jesus removed the law of Moses.
• La iglesia gloriosa guarda la unidad: 4:3-6,
un cuerpo, un Espíritu, una esperanza, un
Señor, una fe, un bautismo, un Padre. Esta
es la base de la unidad que Dios quiere.
• The glorious church keeps the unity: 4:3-6,
one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord,
one faith, one baptism, one Father. This is
the basis of the unity that God wants.
• 3:8-10 Multiforme sabiduría de Dios dada a
conocer por la iglesia. Se exhibe a las hues-
tes celestiales. Por eso, tiene que ser sin
mancha ni arruga, gloriosa.
• 3:8-10 The manifold wisdom of God is made
known by the church. It is exhibited to the
heavenly host. Therefore, it must be without
spot or wrinkle, glorious.
• 3:20, 21 La iglesia existe para adorar y
glorificar a Dios; 2:20-22 templo del Señor;
5:19, cantar. ¿Puede uno ir al cielo sin
adorar y glorificar a Dios?
• 3:20, 21 The church exists to worship and
glorify God. 2:20-22 temple of the Lord; 5:19,
sing. Can one go to heaven without
worshipping and glorifying God?
• 4:11-16 La iglesia existe para la edificación y
perfección de los santos. 13 hay que ser
varón perfecto; 14 no niños fluctuantes; 16
cuerpo crece por actividad de cada miembro
• 4:11-16 The church exists for the edification
and perfection of the saints. 13 must be a
mature man; 14 not tossed about as child-
ren; 16 body grows by activity of each mem-
ber.
• Para ser iglesia gloriosa: nueva vida (4:17-
32); fieles en el hogar (5:22-6:4); y en el
trabajo (6:5-9); llevar toda la armadura de
Dios (6:10-18) para defensa y evangelizar.
• In order to be a glorious church: new life
(4:17-32); faithful in the home (5:22-6:4); and
at work (6:5-9); wear the whole armor of God
(6:10-18) for defense and to evangelize.
• Conclusión: Estando muertos (no enfermos)
(2:1-3), el poder que resucitó a Cristo nos
resucitó (2:4, 5) y nos hizo sentar en lugares
celestiales (2:6) – en la ¡“iglesia gloriosa”!
• Conclusion: Being dead (not sick) (2:1-3),
the power that raised Christ raised us (2:4,5)
and caused us to sit in heavenly places (2:6)
– in the “glorious church”!
