“Destination Blue”; Going Blue for the Good of all Students
This workshop is focused on educating, equipping and empowering parents to help their schools reach Blue status on the
School Performance Framework, therefore ensuring that all schools are great choices for all students in every community.

Choice Enrollment Process is and find out how to apply to the school of your choice.

Love and Logic
Are you interested in learning how to raise children without anger, arguments, or threats while taking good care of yourself?
Becoming a Love and Logic Parent is based on love, which allows our children to make errors, and logic which lets them live
with and learn from the consequences of their mistakes. This session will give you practical skills that help parents establish
peace and order in their home while raising capable and responsible children.

Parent Communication Toolkit: Effective Communication is the Path to Student Success
As a parent, one of the most important things you can do is develop relationships with the people in your child’s academic life.
This workshop will give you the necessary tools to effectively communicate to your child’s teachers, school staff, and principal
to maintain a positive relationship throughout the school year. Parents will walk away knowing how to have a productive
parent/teacher conference, and how to handle a concern with a positive outcome.

Teacher Effectiveness: What Does it Mean to Be a “Good” Teacher?

supporting teachers with the LEAP (Leading Effective Academic Practice) system.

Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships
As pre-teens become teenagers and enter adolescence, new kinds of relationships emerge, this presentation will focus on
relationships with an emphasis on healthy and unhealthy relationships, recognizing behaviors, and warning signs.

Strategic regional analysis identifies gaps in number of spots for students. How does DPS determine how many spots are

DPS, a Safe Place to Learn: Safety and Emergency Preparedness
Do you know what to do if a tornado warning is issued during a school day, and it affects your child’s school? Do you know

Preparing for the Future- How to Succeed through High School and Beyond
Learn about opportunities in High School, Graduation needs, getting ready for College and Post-Secondary guidebooks.

Inviting Parents to Lead
This dynamic workshop will provide the opportunity to: listen to a story related to community trust, diversity and leadership
building, explore the challenges facing our schools. Read, reflect and respond/report (3 R’s on School Committee’s
summaries). Identify proper course of action to generate an action plan for parent engagement and leadership.
