The Pescado comes into two sizes, 5’9”and 6’1”. Not a common fish board, a real fish board for surfing on a kite. Usual fish surfboards
would not get you the volume support and yet the sharpness of turns this boards generates. It’s a new fish design fully dedicated to
kiteboarding in small surf.
New RRD Pescado boards feature:
Heaps of V from middle nose all the way to the tail. The spiral V in the very end of the board
meets a slight tail kick that is the ticket to snappy turns in the pocket. The wide retro style
rounded swallow tail lets you slide, grip or release the extra unnecessary speed and slam
on the brakes if needed. This is kiteboarding in surf made possible for everyone. Available
in Classic and LTD technology.
Technology:
LTD Technology, a full PVC wrap on top and bottom over the EPS core. The lightest way
to build a solid, long lasting surfboard, that still maintains a great amount of dynamic flex
and never gets too stiff in the water. This is the technology coming from our experience of
years in the windsurfing business, that incorporates all the most sophisticated materials
of construction: PVC hi density foam sandwich skins, Epoxy resin, biaxial glass fibres and
wood veneer heel patches and deck reinforcements to make a bullet proof kitesurfboard.
The finishing level is based on our “custom made“ hand sanded finish polished both on
deck and bottom. The beauty of the RRD finishing and details meets the lightest weight
available! Perf-Romance fully at its best !
Classic technology, based on the simplicity of PU foam and polyester resin to keep the
classic original surf flex feeling, this technology incorporates the most advanced sandwich
structures with the help of PVC foams used in the most critical areas of the boards to
allow a surfboard to become a “Surf Kiteboard”. PVC hi density deck area to prevent
breakage or heel denting: just take a look at a classic PU foam surfboard (without our PVC
reinforcements) and check out how it looks after one day in the water when used with
straps... The bottom PVC stringer will help create a stronger hull to better handle stresses
at hi speeds, and the PVC fin box reinforcement are a mandatory system of reinforcement
to make sure the box can handle all the pressure you can apply between the power of the
waves and the power of your kite onto this critical areas.
