2007:
Spawn: Coat spawn grain (about 1600 units) with a mixture of
2lb. product with 80-100 lbs. gypsum, limestone, or chalk

Topsin Section 18 1,600 units). Apply treated spawn to 8,000 square feet of bed
surface before spawning.
Supplement Treatment: Coat supplement (approximately
2,000 lbs) with a mixture of 2.0 lbs TOPSIN M 70 WP with 80
to 100 lbs gypsum, limestone or chalk before mixing the
supplement into the mushroom growing substrate. Apply
treated supplement to 8,000 square feet of bed surface at
spawning.
This use is prohibited if spreading of both treated spawn and
supplement are done by hand. If spread by hand, only one-
either spawn or supplement-may be treated. Mechanical
equipment should be used where available.
Material Safety issues: Precautions for handling, use, and storage of
Topsin® M 70 WP are described on the MSDS.
Use the proper personal protective equipment described on the
label and observe the required reentry interval.
Comments: Topsin® M 70 WP has section 18 emergency exemption
registrations in PA, MD, DE, CA, OR, and CO. Registrations
must be renewed every year.
California users need to obtain the use directions from a
County Ag Commissioner.
The section 18 label must be in possession of the user at the
time of pesticide application.
The label cautions that spawn grain treatments of Topsin M 70
WP may reduce spawn viability and the user will be
responsible for any damage or loss from product use.
