POSITION TITLE: X-RAY TECHNICIAN I

POSITION PURPOSE:
The x-Ray Technician I works under supervision producing diagnostic
radiographs. This position is governed by radio logic methods and
procedures, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sets up x-ray procedures, produces diagnostic radiographs,
develops x-rays, assembles and prepares films and reports of x-
rays taken for radiologist.
2. Operates portable x-ray equipment, attends departmental staff
meetings, resolves patient problems, reviews dosimeter badge
readings for technicians, and assists x-ray technician students
during clinical work.
3. Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position has to be registered as a Radiological technologist by the
American Registry of Radiologist Technologist; Other job related
education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these
basic requirements upon approval of the qualifications Review
Committee.
