Immunity Deal Expires For Casey Anthony Evidence leads investigators to believe Caylee is deceased 02 Sep 2008, 5:34 PM EDT Created: Tuesday, 02 Sep 2008, 5:34 PM EDT MyFoxOrlando reports ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Today was Casey Anthony's last opportunity to give more information to investigators surrounding the disappearance of her missing 3-year-old daughter Caylee. She had until 9 a.m. to accept a limited immunity offer from the State Attorney's Office. • VIDEO: Immunity deal for Casey set to expire (MyFoxOrlando) The State Attorney's Office said they were not contacted by Casey's defense attorney about their offer, which has now expired. If she had accepted the State Attorney's offer, she would have been required to provide more information about her missing daughter, though that information would not be used against her in court. On the other hand, any evidence they may have found from the information she gave could be used against her during her trial. New information was released Tuesday morning from the Orange County sheriff's office, indicating that Casey's attorney, Jose Baez, visited Casey at the jail Monday night. The visit between Casey and Baez lasted about an hour and a half, according to the jail spokesperson. No other visitations have been scheduled at this time. It has also been noted that Casey's $3,000 bond on petit theft and check fraud charges has been posted. She will not be released from jail, however, until her $500,200 bond is re-posted. Days ago, a bonds group out of Clearwater rescinded the larger bond. On Monday, one of the lead investigators in case of the missing toddler said that they now have evidence that leads them to believe that the little girl is dead. • VIDEO: Sheriff’s Office Commander Matt Irwin confirms evidence (MyFoxOrlando) "We have scientific evidence back from the FBI lab,” Commander Matt Irwin from the Orange County Sheriffs Office said. “We have other evidence we have not yet released publicly, all of that evidence at this point in its totality leads us to believe Caylee is deceased." The first hint of the evidence from investigators came Sunday when Sgt. John Allen from the Orange County Sheriffs Office said, "There’s evidence to suggest there was a body in the trunk of Casey’s car and that body was Caylee’s." Allen’s statement while "on the record" Sunday was off camera and very brief. Monday Commander Irwin made the most direct confirmation of the evidence and went on camera to clarify the evidence. “I'm saying the lab results indicate there was human decomposition in the car,” Irwin said, “and Caylee cannot be excluded from that. But we have other evidence we have not made public that corroborates or otherwise enhances our belief that Caylee is likely to have been deceased." • RAW VIDEO: Full interview with Sheriffs Office Commander Matt Irwin (MyFoxOrlando) Monday Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez released a statement on the findings. "You have to wonder about the reliability and accuracy of any test when law enforcement feels the need to leak it to the media,” Baez said in the statement. "I won't comment on the specifics of any report I have not had the opportunity to review or have challenged by independent experts." In other developments, dozens of people had planned to show up in front of the Anthony family home at 6 a.m. Monday morning to protest the family or to show their support. Instead, only a family and a single woman came out around 8 a.m. • VIDEO:Protesters at the Anthony home (MyFoxOrlando) • VIDEO: Protesters and supporters at the Anthony home (MyFoxOrlando) The woman who came alone drove all the way from Altamonte Springs to give the family support. She said the family needs emotional support and they need to keep the faith. She asked to remain unidentified. On the flip side, the Courtney family came to protest against the Anthonys, saying they are covering up for their daughter and that they know the truth about where Caylee is. At one point, the Courtney family crossed over the "no trespassing" signs posted on the Anthonys' property. They began banging on the door, screaming at the family to tell the truth. “I am here to speak for little Caylee. They know the truth. If it were me I would be in jail right now; I hate to play the race card, but no one would put up $500,000 bond to get me out of jail," said Erika Courtney, who is African-American. Five Orange County Sheriff’s deputies showed up and gave the family a trespassing warning, because the Anthony family told cops they did not want the family arrested. The Courtneys say they will continue to protest on the sidewalk and do not plan to leave, despite their warning. The group Equusearch continued their quest for signs of the missing toddler. Monday the search group searched the area of Moss Park near Narcoossee Road, checking the site of an old, forgotten playground. There was no sign of Caylee but Equusearch said their searching has ruled out certain areas. “People in about six areas right now looking and so far we haven’t had anything real significant come about," Mandy Albritton with Equusearch said. Some of the searches took place near the Orlando International Airport. Albritton said the area is significant because Casey Anthony made unexplained cell phone calls to a person in a somewhat remote area near the airport around the time her daughter went missing. Equusearch said they usually begin searches in areas closest to where a child was last seen. The airport is a good distance away from where Casey said she last saw Caylee. The group says their decision to search near the airport was a bit out of the ordinary for them, but not unheard of.
