Layers
Sunset smiling and laughing at me as I go along.
Shadows stretching, reaching, lengthening, trapping me
trying to take me away.
Bridges are rising longing to be higher than the trees
fingering the winter breath.
Streams winking, playing music to the sky never ending.
Rabbits dancing, lolloping, chasing the sun beam as it
trickles slowly on its travel.
Baby lambs playfully race the cars as they go by, others
wobble clumsily in the sunrise as they drink.
Sheep rock patiently in the gentle breeze waiting for
food to line the food tray.
Meadows lie like brand new tiles fixed in place with
brambles standing like guards at Buckingham Palace.
Canals shimmer, glitter, and sparkle happily in the moon
light.
Broken down train track carriages abandoned, trolleys
left at the sides. Broken wine bottles.
