Virtual Field Trip
Introduction
You and your classmates are going to be botanists which are people who study
plants. You’re going to be experts on the parts of plants. You will venture out
together to discover the parts of plants and what their function is. As a class you
have to take this very serious so you can tell others what your job is and what
makes up the parts of a plant. You will be helping Detective Leplant in solving clues
and he is counting on your knowledge as botanists to help him. After you help
detective Leplant then you will get to create your own flower and since you are
botanists you will know how to label your flower. So let’s get started in helping
detective Leplant out on finding what the parts of plants are and what those
parts do.
Task
Step 1- As a whole group we are going to venture out to help Detective Leplant in
solving important mysteries about the parts of a plant. Click here
Step 2- As a class we will help Detective Leplant in solving these clues. Remember
he is counting on you to find the answers.
Step 3-Once we have helped Detective Leplant find the parts of plants and what
they do. We will watch a united streaming segment on parts of a plant.

students at six computers to continue the virtual field trip.

Conclusion
I hope that you had a great experience in being botanists and helping detective
Leplant in finding the parts of plants. I also hope that you had fun visiting the
other websites. Now you should be able to name the parts of a plant and give a
