Aircraft Refueler Mechanic
Job Description
Perform heavy truck maintenance and repair on the nation’s largest, most
diversified commercial aviation refueler fleet. The primary responsibility of the
ARM is to diagnose and repair heavy truck chassis up fitted with aircraft fuel
delivery systems in accordance with manufacturer and industry guidelines.
Assist in the shop maintenance and/or production teams as needed.
Skills
Assist lead mechanics in performing all aspects of heavy truck maintenance
including but not limited to engine tune up, hydraulic and air brakes, steering,
exhausts and electrical wiring
Light metal fabrication
General Requirements
Must have a comprehensive set of mechanic’s tools for heavy trucks
Aptitude to learn how to interpret electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic
schematics
Familiarity with machine shop and welding equipment
1-3 years fleet maintenance experience
Valid driver’s license
Self starter
Have the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff
members
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job
Functions
High school diploma or equivalent with three years of airport maintenance or
related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and
abilities for this position.
Must possess, or be able to satisfy, FAA part 139 training requirements for
lineman
