The levee is near the St. Bernard Parish line and is a private levee (not part of the federal levee system) known as the Caernarvon Diversion Levee. An all out effort is underway to sandbag and prevent massive flooding. The levee overtopping was reported at approximately 3:15pm and at that time was just beginning to top over.
