The sad fact is the idea of having a successful online homebased business often clouds ones judgment, as they picture a care free life while making money. I wish I could tell you that just because this is your homebased business that you will have limited responsibilities, But this is so far from the truth, I think you will be enlightened to a whole new idea after you finish reading this. You’ve probably seen many advertisements that say they have made money while sleeping, golfing, and vacationing. Well, yes this does happen, it doesn't happen without a lot of prior work and hours involved. Now, is the time you got real and understood what will be expected of you in order to have your successful Internet Business. 1.)Advertising and Marketing- Online Marketing is the core of any business. Get some marketing training. Instead of depending on companies to do your Marketing for you, look for other companies to help you to accomplish this. 2.)Mentor - Build a relationship with your mentor. A good mentor will want to meet with you a minimum of three times a week at the beginning. Following through with appointments, and learning and listening to your mentor can really make or break you business. 3.)Education- Business education should be an ongoing strategy. Always include time to improve on yourself and learn new techniques that will assist you in building your Internet Business as the Internet is always changing. 4.)Consistency- You must have consistency, especially when using the free marketing and web 2.0 techniques. Setting out to consistently build your online business will mean failure and success. But with consistency you will prevail. 5.)Leadership - Learning to be a leader in this Industry is what clearly will set you apart from the rest, even if you are a beginner. Learning to be a leader the proper way will allow you to stand out against the competition. 6.)Blogging - Is one of the first things you should do as it is a highly effective way to market a online business. Not only does it drive people to your website, but it also brands YOU and allows your customers a way to get to know, like and trust you. 7.)Improvement - No matter how much money you earn online you should set out to expand your knowledge. Continuing your path to improving yourself and your business will give you the upper edge over the competition. 8.)Training - Keep training and there is so many different ways that you can expand your business. If you don't continue to expand your training then you will never learn new inventive ways to drive traffic to your website. 9.)Website - Your website should be unique and professional, branding YOU. If you have a website that is properly done and easy to navigate it will make an impression on your visitors. Remember be unique but professional.

10.)Statistics - You have to keep online marketing and conversion statistics weekly and monthly. Knowing what works from what does will help to leverage your time. As you can see in order to have a successful online homebased business, you have to work. The ads you’ve seen may claim you will obtain passive income with little work or some type of automated system, but as much as I wish I could share with you that this is true it’s completely bull. I know this is all overwhelming, but once you get your online homebased business on a schedule and learn to handle your new responsibilities you will then understand the benefits of owning your own business. In conclusion do your business justice by understanding the fundamentals of growing it. Don't sit back and wait for dollar bills to fall from the sky because it’s not going to happen.
