JAMPRO S UPPLIES SLOT ANTENNA TO NAB- HD’S S TATION
Las Vegas, NV (April 12, 2006) -- When the state-of-the-art NAB-HD TV station makes its
return engagement at NAB 2006, it will use Jampro Antennas / RF Systems’ JA-SS (Super Slot)
700 HD antenna – the latest in slot antenna technology - to deliver signals to HD displays
around the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). The Sacramento, CA based manufacturer
will also provide technical support for the antenna to transmitter installation.
The NAB-HD station debuted at NAB 2005 to an overwhelming response. It returns to NAB
2006 with the best of breed components, many designed and developed by pioneers in the
industry, to demonstrate the current state of HD television technology. Attendees will have the
rare opportunity to see all the products in use in a studio-transmitter-antenna environment.
“Attendees can witness the JA-SS’s outstanding performance firsthand,” stated Alex
Perchevitch, Jampro’s president. “It is an ideal antenna for the NAB-HD station because it gives
stations a non-compromise solution when upgrading to DTV / HD.” Visitors will also be able to
see the antenna signal on an HD receiver in Jampro’s Booth # C 1517
The fully operational 4 camera 16:9 HD television studio broadcast facility will occupy 5,000
square feet in the Central Hall of the convention center and contain production / post production
suites, and a large theater featuring a 20-foot high high-definition screen.
Output of the NAB-HD studio will include interviews with industry leaders, such as David K.
Rehr, NAB’s new CEO, numerous topical round table discussions, and news spots from the
conferences and exhibit halls, and aerial views of the proceedings taken from the NAB-HD
