COMBINED LIABILITY POLICY SUMMARY

The summary below outlines the full scope of the coverage available under this policy. The coverage provided under any
policy purchased will relate only to the benefits of the insurance which you request and which we agree to insure.

Type of Insurance

This policy is intended to provide p liability cover for businesses and commercial enterprises.

Section A: Employers, Public and Products Liability of the policy is underwritten by ERGO Versicherung AG

Section B: Commercial Legal Expenses of the policy is underwritten by DAS Legal Expenses Company Ltd




Section A – Employers’ Public and Products Liability
Sub Section 1 – Employers Liability

Cover is provided for liability to pay damages and legal costs that arise as a result of claims from employees suffering injury
due to, and during, their employment.

The cover provided complies with U.K. compulsory employers’ liability law.

The limit of indemnity is the maximum amount we will pay for any claim (including costs). For most claims it is
£10,000,000, but it is restricted to £5,000,000 for claims relating to either asbestos or terrorism.

Sub Section 2 & 3 – Public & Products Liability

Cover is provided in respect of liability to pay compensation including legal costs for:

            injury to any person (excluding employees)

            damage to tangible third party property

Cover can be taken with or without products liability.

The limit of indemnity is the maximum amount we will pay for any claim (including claimants’ costs). We usually offer the
option of either a £1m, £2m or £5m limit. In addition the costs of defending a claim are covered by the policy. The limit
chosen will also be the maximum we will pay in total for the period of insurance for claims relating to products or
pollution.

Significant Features & Benefits


            The definition of injury includes death and disease

            Covers employees temporarily working overseas in a non-manual capacity

            Cover includes liabilities for Defence Costs incurred in connection with:

             –            The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

             –            Consumer Protection Act 1987

            Court attendance costs

            Data Protection Act 1988 (in respect of Sub Sections 2 and 3)

            Defective Premises Act 1972

            Indemnity to Principals

            Motor contingent liability (in respect of Sub Section 2)


Significant Exclusions

            USA/Canada (unless specifically agreed by underwriters)

            Fines or penalties

            Aircraft, watercraft or hovercraft

            Damage to property in your Care, custody, control

            Recall of any Product

            Road Traffic Act

            Offshore

            Products intended for manufacturers of aircraft and safety critical aircraft components

            Blood and blood products


            Tobacco products

            Pollution and contamination (other than caused by a sudden identifiable unintended and unexpected occurrence)

Section B – Commercial Legal Protection

This insurance provides cover for;

            Employment disputes and compensation awards

            Legal defence

            Property protection and bodily injury

            Tax protection

Significant Exclusions

            Claim reported after incident in excess of 180 days
            Costs and expenses incurred before written acceptance

            Fines or penalties

            Costs and expenses incurred before written acceptance

            Any claim relating to patents, copyrights, trademarks, merchandise marks, registered designs, intellectual property,
             secrecy and confidentiality agreements

            Any claim relating to rights under a franchise or agency agreement entered into by the policyholder

            Any insured incident deliberately or intentionally caused by an insured person

General Exclusions

The following significant exclusions apply to all sections of the policy. These exclusions are set out in detail on pages 3 to 5
of the policy wording

            War and Civil War

            Terrorism

            IT accumulation exposure

            Asbestos Exposures

            Radioactive and Nuclear hazards

            Asbestos Exposures


We recommend that you ask your insurance intermediary to identify any exclusions, endorsements or warranties that have
been specifically applied to your policy.

Duration

The policy will be valid for one calendar year (or shorter period if agreed by Underwriters) from the start date.



Cancellation

In addition to the cancellation provisions contained in the policy, retail clients have the right to cancel their policy at any time
within 14 days of receipt of the policy wording by notifying their intermediary or insurer and, provided they have not made a
claim, will receive a full refund of your premium.



Claims
All claims should immediately be notified to your intermediary.



Complaints

Our aim is to provide an efficient service. If you feel that we have not succeeded in this aim, please refer in the first instance
to your Broker or intermediary.

If you remain unhappy.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Services Ombudsman.

The Financial Services Ombudsman

The Ombudsman will review complaints from eligible complainants. An eligible complainant is defined as:

            private individuals and
            ‘micro-enterprises’.

‘Micro-enterprises’ will be able to bring complaints to the ombudsman as long as they have an annual turnover of under 2
million euro’s (approx £1.7 million) and fewer than ten employees.
