QUOTATION NOTICE
SEALED quotations are invited from the authorised dealers for the supply of the
materials specified in the schedule shown overleaf. The rates quoted should be for delivery
of the articles of the place mentioned in the schedule. Quotations super scribed “QUOTATION
FOR THE SUPPLY OF Machineries (DTP System, Printer, Web offset, Perfect Binder,
Copier, Digital scanner cum Printer, Mini Offset, Cutting machine, Flex printing, Ruling
machine etc.) FOR LAKSHADWEEP GOVERNMENT PRESS” should be addressed to the
Secretary to the Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep, Lakshadweep Office,
Wellingdon Island, Indira Gandhi Road, Kochi-682 003 and should reach the office at 3 pm on
10-11-2005. Any quotation received after the time fixed on the due date is liable to be rejected.
Quotation will be opened in the office of the Secretary to the Administrator, Union Territory of
Lakshadweep, Willingdon Island, Indira Gandhi Road, Kochi-682 003 at 3.15 pm on 10-11-2005
in the presence of tenderness or their agents. The tendernes are requested to be present in
person or through duly authorised agents at the place and time specified above. The tenders will
be opened at the time fixed without waiting for any of the tenderers. Quotations received
unsealed and without superscription are liable to be rejected.
The acceptance of the quotation will be subjected to the following conditions.
1. Quotation should contain Demand Draft drawn in favour of Manager, Lakshadweep
Government Press, Kavaratti for EMD equivalent to 2.5% of the total amount
quoted (Subject to a maximum of Rs. 1 Lakh) payable at Syndicate Bank, Kavaratti.
2. The rate quoted will be applicable for a period of 6 months from the date of acceptance.
3. The rate should be for delivery of the articles at the place mentioned in the schedule.
4. No representations for enhancement of price once accepted will be considered during the
currency of contract.
5. Lowest quotations will be accepted subject to quality, ability to supply in time etc. and the
successful tenderer will have to supply the materials as and when required.
6. Violation, if any, of the term or terms of the Tender Notice will entail cancellation of the
order. The Administrator reserve the right to reject, accept or terminate the order at any
time and his decision in the matter shall be final and no appeal shall lie over it.
7. The payment of cost of the materials will be made only after checking them by the
representative, deputed for the purpose and also after complete satisfaction of geniuses
of specification of materials.
8. No part payment or advance will be made for the articles supplied in any circumstances.
9. No transport charges will be made for the articles supplied in any circumstances.
10. Quotation shall be preferably typed.
11. On taxable items a certificate/D form for claiming Central Sales Tax 4% will be issued
separately, at the time or supply as the articles are indented for use in Lakshadweep.
12. Supply of the entire quantity of the items shall be made within 30 days of the receipt of
the firm supply order.
13. Pamphlets and catalogues should be enclosed along with the quotation.
14. Preference will be given to ISO Certified companies.
15. The machine must be sturdy and comply to the Indian electrical standards with all safety
and protective devices incorporated.
16. Manufacturers of machines with equivalent or better features can participate in the
tender.
17. The machine is to be guaranteed for a period of one year. the guarantee must be
comprehensive.
18. Companies having local office and service centers are preferable.
19. On placing of purchase orders for the items quoted by the firms, they should supply all
the items of purchase order in full. In case of part supply the same will not be
accepted and the EMD amount will be forfeited.
