Maritime Communication
Maritime communication in common with many other similar critical environments has moved from analogue, pure voice communication to digital data based technologies. In addition to voice, information systems such as Automatic
Identification System (AIS) and Digital Selective Calling (DSC) have gained popularity in the last years. Frequentis combines voice communication and information including navigational data, focusing on usability and system integration.
The company delivers resilient maritime communication and information systems for safety and security related Control Centres. A new data platform, called Tracking & Tracing, enables Frequentis to integrate with many maritime
services and solutions: Rescue Coordination Centres (MRCC), Vessel Traffic Centres (VTS), Vessel Traffic and Management Information Services (VTMIS) as well as for Coastal Waterway Management and River Information Services (RIS).
