Goal of your
virtual fieldtrip:
Make yourself into a Sixties teen, whether Greaser
or Soc-your choice!! Explore these websites and
write a 5 paragraph essay describing your character.
Include in your description the clothes you would
wear, the things you would do, and the people you
would hang out with. Most importantly, explore
why the decisions your character would make could
possibly brand you an outsider as Ponyboy’s
choices in style and pastimes in The Outsiders
branded him an outsider.

Essays must be passed in to me at the start of
class tomorrow. You will be graded on
correct essay structure and writing techniques,
whether or not you have included all of the
required elements listed about your character,
and neatness. If unsure, take a rubric home
with you tonight to reference. I hope you
