                                                     With
                                        Cardiorespiratory Compromise


  Routine Medical Assessment
  Bradycardia (HR <60) utilize the Treatment triangle for assessment. Patients that present with 2 or more
  sides of triangle are in cardiorespiratory compromise.




                                                        Oxygen
                                                        • 100% via face mask if conscious
                                                        • 100% via BVM if unconscious


                                                                         Monitor



                              Perform CPR if despite oxygen and ventilations HR <60/min with poor perfusion



      Treat possible causes:                            Persistent Bradycardia
      • Hypovolemia
      • Hypoxia (or ventilation problems)
                                                        EPI
      • Hydrogenation (acidosis)
      • Hypo/hyper-kalemia                              • IV/IO: 0.01 mg/kg (1:10,000 : 0.1 ml/kg)
      • Hypoglycemia                                    ETT
      • Hypothermia                                     • 0.1 mg/kg (1:1,000 : 0.1 ml/kg)
      • Toxins
      • Tamponade, cardiac
      • Tension pneumothorax
      • Thrombosis (coronary or pulmonary)
                                                         Increased Vagal tone or primary AV block
      • Trauma (hypovolemia)                             Atropine 0.02 mg/kg (min. dose 0.1 mg)
