Happy New Year Everyone! A great new year approaches us! ‘Hats Off’ to our Military men & women who are past,
present, future military. Keeping us safe and protecting our freedom!
Thank you Leslie Kibler {Peoria, Illinois}. She is not only a ‘Hall of Famer’ but has completed the 2nd year of the
‘Hall of Fame’ Book of Who’s Who as publisher. Plus…Leslie has recently been appointed to the ‘Alliance’ Board of
Directors. A great addition to our staff.
Jamaica, ‘WOW’ what a fun time! Temperatures were 85-90 degrees! A very fun get away. Competition was great!
Over all we did capture more wins. Thank you ‘our’ Jamaican Coaches, bringing in Jamaican competitors; Master
Dwayne Gayle from Montego Bay/Sensei Radcliff Cunningham from Kingston/Master Tony Brown from Kingston/
Master She-Tei from Kingston…Thank you everyone who participated!

We have several top schools; announced earlier newsletters but sent this time via mail as well as posted on our
website. We are so proud to have them part! We are proud and thankful for all our ‘Alliance’ members but we are
especially thankful for a special few. These top performers are awesome, most all their student enrollment are
members of the ‘Alliance’! That’s awesome! So in ‘2009’ the year in completion we have (5) top we want to honor
with a reward! A free trip {land package} to Cancun, Mexico October 21st – 26th ‘2010’ to bearer of the school owner
(non transferable). Congratulations!

#4 & #5 were close, 2 students separated 4th and 5th place.
Actually, 12 additional schools were close to 4th & 5th place by only several members.
NOTE: we will be hosting ‘another contest’ for the top (2) schools who sign up the most ‘Alliance’ members. Contest
March – April winners announced May 1st via our website! So Instructors win a trip! Cancun is a very awesome place! So
Schools, students tell your classmates remember your instructor could win a trip due to your involvement. Everyone
eligible!

Attention: we are beginning to get many school Charters. ‘Awesome’…it’s great to have (schools) be part of our
network. A nominal fee ‘posts’ you on our website and we will issue you a special School Charter Diploma.. wow,
even better…all schools join! All fees received from March 1st thru the end of the year will all go to Master Tom
Cleaver. The collected fees will be distributed to the top ‘Black Belt’ earners in our “Point Race” year ‘2010’! Make
checks payable to ‘Alliance’ then given to Master Cleaver. Remember School Charters are yearly! All new ‘2010’
charter fees now due! Our way of saying ‘Thank you’ competitors!
All new coming soon, ‘Alliance’ referee, judges seminars/clinics. Our goal is to certify all our experienced officials
with classifications; ‘C’ ‘B’ ‘A’ ‘AA’ ‘AAA’ ratings. Dr. Thomas has assembled a video process, testings, etc… for
future classifications. First available clinics/seminars announced soon.
Welcome Grand Master John Black {Scotland}…he recently made his arrangements to attend our big event Cancun,
Mexico in October. Those who’ve met this man are extremely overwhelmed. HE began the arts 50’s / 60’s skilled in
‘Kobudo’, weapons, Ju-Jitsu/Judo…a leading Master in Scotland. We welcome the ‘Scottish’ attendance!
Attention many of you have produced videos, books, DVD’s etc…Coming real soon, your work we will assist you in

A special ‘hats off’ Master Bill Auvenshine. Most know this proud man! He & his wife own (2) schools in Illinois!
Due to a truck accident, Bill has been in a wheelchair for a while. But…don’t let the wheels distract you! He’s skilled,
knowledgeable and a true spirit of Martial Arts character. The greatest about Master Bill Auvenshine he will hop out
of his chair to demonstrate or teach! It’s rare this kind of ‘world’, wheelchair can be such an unimportant distraction
to him. He loves to teach, his message is genuine and Master Patty Auvenshine {Master Bill’s wife} is also another
great in the Tae Kwon Do world! We love you guys; you are inspiration to our world in many ways!
More inspiration; Herb Mullins, still the reigning ‘World Champ’ of all seniors! Again Herb performed in Jamaica!
Captured more ‘Gold’! He’s in his mid 80’s and is the oldest active Martial Arts competitor in the world!
Wow…Herb, 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He didn’t even begin the arts until many would be normally
ready to retire! He began and wow Herbs traveled with us around the world and more trips to come! Nope…not a
grandpa sitting at home! He is still an active CPA and runs his families CPA company in Des Moines, Iowa! Herb we
love you!
Student transfer network, all new…coming soon…often times students relocate, another city, another state/country.
Our location will 1st search for an ‘Alliance’ school closest then a compatible Style/School close to what you are use
to. Military, college, job changes many times are a must. It will be great ‘Alliance’ members can visit other schools or
even register there close to them! Details soon posted!
We get calls often by motivated instructors wanting to be part! “Awesome”! The first step is to be an ‘Alliance’
member, encourage your students to belong! Our network is dependant on new students…new members…new
schools…Be part! Thank you!

‘Super Foots’ appearance is a dream come true!

Summer Camp: this will be done mid summer T.B.A. by Steve Franz and Dr. Jim Thomas. We are hoping to do a
more ‘summer camp’ approach. Details to soon be posted. (3) Days of summer camp! ‘Alliance’ members, U.S.
Team…those going to Cancun…free others will be a nominal cost! A benefit of the ‘Alliance’.
AP press; in Albuquerque , New Mexico…a bully continued to haunt a boy, the boy was enrolled in karate
class…enough, enough, so the boy did a spin kick and the bully fell…died! Martial arts kid charged with involuntary
manslaughter age 16! Reading the details (A.P.) it will probably be ruled a self defense accident. But meanwhile the
young boy must witness the system until cleared….jailed. So everyone, Self Defense laws are different by state. Be up
on this Instructors as you teach.
Putting a ‘Legal Stamp’ of approval to all Alliance members & Rank now available! Until now no methodology
to apply legal recognition to a Martial Arts Rank has been available. We now set precedence within the Martial Arts
community/world. As we now can and will add the legal authentication of all our new ranks given with in the
‘Alliance’ as well as a past generated authority given to all our ‘Alliance’ Ranked instructors. Thank you Herbert B.
Weller P.I. WSO-CSS, CST, RSD, A CFEI-CHS 10th Dan ‘Soke’ American Shorin Ryu. This Grand Master who is
an expert in the legal field has recently licensed Dr. Jim Thomas as a Private Detective and given the ability to legally
as well as otherwise authenticate Rank of those who are Alliance members. If we apply this investigative law to the
field of Martial Arts it provides a methodology that a Private Detective/Licensed can use to determine authenticity
towards Rank. I’m proud to use this ability under the Auspice of Grand Master Herbert Weller.
Cruise! Coming soon! A get away and possibly an ‘Alliance’ competition? We are working on details now! Cruise
ships are awesome! Our question is to where? Some have requested Alaska voyage! Some Aruba, Caribbean, Las
Vegas, etc…What do you think? IF we do a cruise where would you like to go? Please send us an email! Vote ‘2011’
