       IAM / AIR WISCONSIN MRP
 ANNOUNCEMENT –CAE LINE MAINTENANCE
As an aside to the mediated negotiations being conducted last week in ATW and this week in Valencia,
California with the Company, the sub-committee on outsourcing was convened to address an opportunity for
line maintenance. At this meeting the possibility of opening an Air Wisconsin staffed line maintenance station
in Columbia, South Carolina (CAE) was the topic of discussion. Both parties spent time assessing the
economics behind keeping this work in-house versus utilizing the services of a sub-contractor, as has been done
in the past. There was a spirit of collaboration evident during the discussions in these meetings to find a way to
achieve a win for both the Union and the Company.

We are pleased to announce that the work of both the Union and Company committees have made economic
sense of retaining this work and effectively immediately plans are being developed to open an AWAC staffed
line maintenance base in CAE with a target date of August 1, 2011. The model for a line maintenance base will
be different than the traditional “ hangar”model everyone is used to and both parties have adopted a set of
guidelines to address these differences while staying within the requirements of the Agreement.

We are hopeful that this move lays the foundation for a new direction for the Air Wisconsin IAM membership
in maintenance.

Our thanks go out to Wade Burklund and Gary Vargo for their contributions and participation in this process
leading to this decision and also to the Company participants. Please take the time to do the same. Updates and
bulletins on Air Wisconsin and other District Lodge 142 activities can always be found on the Web at

                                         Sincerely and fraternally,
