JIFFY LUBE® DC AND LIVE NATION HONOR AREA MILITARY WITH
DONATION OF 750 TOBY KEITH CONCERT TICKETS
TO USO-METRO’S TICKETLINE
Arlington, VA – The franchisees and staff of the Jiffy Lube service centers in the greater Washington DC
area and LIVE NATION honored our troops with a donation of Toby Keith concert tickets to the USO of
Metropolitan Washington’s free ticket program, TicketLine.
The ticket donation provided area service members with a pair of tickets to the Toby Keith with Eric
Church concert on Saturday, September 10 at Jiffy Lube LiveTM in Bristow, VA. The 750 tickets were
quickly distributed to more than 350 service men and women and their families.
“This was a wonderful opportunity to lift the spirits of local military families by providing them with a unique
opportunity to enjoy quality time together,” said Elaine Rogers, president of The USO of Metropolitan
Washington. “The USO’s role is to do the little things to boost morale and let them know they are
supported and appreciated. The continued generosity of the community makes it possible for USO-Metro
to serve the troops and their families, and we are truly grateful for this partnership with Jiffy Lube and Live
Dale Smith, President of the Co-op of 56 Jiffy Lube service centers in the DC area indicated, “We were
delighted to have helped make this happen for our military community.”
USO-Metro’s TicketLine program depends on donated tickets to local cultural, entertainment and sporting
events. Individuals and corporations can make tax-deductible donations by calling 703-881-8490. Active
duty service members interested in free ticket opportunities should sign-up at www.usometro.org/tickets.
In addition, Jiffy Lube service centers in the DC Area donated 300 Smiles Over Miles Cards for
distribution at USO-Metro’s Deployed Family Fun Day. The Smiles Over Miles program enables service
members to send and receive messages via secure video, voicemail or email from anywhere in the world.
Deployed Family Fun Day is a biannual event was created to boost morale and bring together the military
family community. Others who would like to support the Smiles Over Miles program can click on a link on

In addition to entertainment and fun for the kids, Deployed Family Fun Day reaches out to parents with
deployed spouses, educating them on free programs and services made available by the USO and local
community to help them make it through deployments.
