Using the network of repeat stations established in 1994 on the territory Serbia, we
carried out in 2008 field measurements at 14 repeat stations. Since 1960 only one terrain
variometer has been used, and now, for the first time, we are using two variometers. Each
station was occupied for at least five days for absolute measurements (D, I and F) and
variations were continually recorded by two variometers. We are using Magson’s flux
gate and Geomagnetic System suspended dIdD type magnetometers for recordings at the
site. Therefore, the working procedure was very much alike the one at the geomagnetic
observatory. We shell explain specific features of both instruments (operation,
temperature, sensor’s characteristics etc.). Also the geomagnetic charts of D, H and Z for
Serbia will be presented.
