         DEPARTURES LAUNCHES TWO NEW "CURATED" DIGITAL PLATFORMS
    —DEPARTURES ULTIMATE CITY GUIDES AND E-EXCLUSIVES TO DEBUT BEGINNING IN
                                SEPTEMBER—

NEW YORK, NY (August 25, 2011) – DEPARTURES’ latest initiatives bring its curated award-winning
editorial viewpoint to the digital realm. On September 1, DEPARTURES introduces "Ultimate City
Guides", a mobile platform, today announced VP/Publisher Steven DeLuca. The publication will also
launch an ecommerce initiative, titled eEXCLUSIVES, in early October, for its readers who are Platinum
Card® and Centurion® members of American Express.

The inaugural installment of DEPARTURES Ultimate City Guides will focus on New York and feature
recommendations on hotels, restaurants, shopping, bars/lounges, museums & galleries, and other luxury
lifestyle content curated by the DEPARTURES editorial team. The ten editions of the Ultimate City Guides
are exclusively sponsored by Omega, and will be available on the iPhone and iPad.

“The introduction of these two curated platforms will provide our readers with another editorially-rich
experience that is synonymous with the publication’s award-winning content about authentic luxury,”
DeLuca said. “I am excited to be working with Omega and giving them access to our affluent audience by
way of this new DEPARTURES mobile channel.”

The second DEPARTURES Ultimate City Guide showcasing Hong Kong will be introduced in October to
coincide with DEPARTURES special destination-themed issue dedicated to Asia. The subsequent
Ultimate City Guide featuring Miami is scheduled to debut in November to coincide with Art Basel and the
seven remaining guides will be introduced next year. In addition to featuring updated content about local
hospitality and culture, a map with full GEO-location functionality as well as a concierge service will also
be included.

eEXCLUSIVES, DEPARTURES’ full priced ecommerce play, will give readers the opportunity to purchase
limited edition products for a limited time only, such as apparel and accessories. Akris, Saks Fifth Avenue
and Brunello Cucinelli are participating. DeLuca added: “We’re thrilled to be offering our partners a
sophisticated ecommerce environment to present their unique products at full price for our audience of
high-net worth luxury shoppers.”

DEPARTURES September issue carries a 24 percent increase in revenue and is up 16 percent in paging
versus the same issue last year, according to publisher’s estimates. During the January-September
period, the publication is 46 percent ahead of last year. Carolina Herrera, Conrad, and Tom Ford join
other new advertisers to DEPARTURES.
