Interview and Investigation Techniques for Search and Rescue Responders (Intermediate/Advance level) 2 hours Interviewing is an important part of search investigation and yet is often a hastily done and incomplete task. An interview may be the largest generator of clues. This presentation will discuss the need to interview and the unique requirements in the SAR world. It will probe the "how to" mechanics of conducting a good interview, the setting, the interviewer's demeanor, types of questions and how the information is used to profile the missing subject. The information can then be used to assist Plans in establishing where to look and the best use of SAR resources. INSTRUCTOR: Christopher S.
