AN INVESTIGATION OF THERMAL EMISSION FROM ASTEROIDS AT RADIO WAVELENGTHS P.S. BARRERA-PINEDA1, A.J LOVELL.2 , F.P. SCHLOERB3 1 Instituto Nacional de Astrofisica Optica y Electronica 2 Agnes Scott College 3 Five College Radio Astronomy Observatory We have compiled the radio observations (cm, mm, and submm) of Ceres and Vesta published in the last 30 years, including our own 86 GHz and 100 GHz data obtained with the BIMA millimeter array and the 14m FCRAO. These observations are largely consistent with a single power law over the entire radio region. These data were used to begin the development of a new thermophysical model and we present preliminary results of the model. This model predicts the thermal emission in the radio region including parameters of the surface physical properties. This model attempts to provide a link between the IR thermal physical models and represents the first steps towards a unified model for all wavelengths.
